Parivahan Sewa (parivahan.gov.in) is the official online portal operated by India’s Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), providing various transport-related services to the public.

The platform provides a wide range of online transport services, such as applying for a Driving Licence or Learner Licence, requesting a duplicate RC, updating a vehicle’s registered address, transferring ownership, obtaining vehicle fitness certificates, managing permits, paying fees online, booking appointments, and accessing other essential transport-related services.

With the mParivahan app, users can access digital copies of their Driving Licence (DL) and Registration Certificate (RC) without always carrying physical documents. These digital documents are accepted as valid proof in applicable situations when presented through authorized platforms. The app offers a convenient and secure way to access and manage essential driving and vehicle records.

Download and Install the mParivahan App

For Android Users:

• Visit to Google play Store.
• Write mParivahan in the search bar.
• Download and install the app.

For iOS Users:

• Visit to Apple App Store in your Apple devices.
• In search bar search mParivahan.
• Click Get to download and install the app.

Signing Up on mParivahan App

Creating up an account on the mParivahan app is simple and takes only a few minutes. Once registered, you can easily view your digital Driving Licence, check vehicle RC details, and access a range of online transport services.

• Open the app in your Phone.
• Click on Login / Register option.

• Add your active mobile number and click on Get OTP.
• Add the OTP received on your phone.
• Click on Verify.
• Add your required details:
  • Name
  • Email (if required)
  • Create PIN / Password
• Choose a unique username and create a strong password.
• Set 4-digit mobile PIN to login.

• Click on Submit button.
• Your account is created successfully.

Virtual Driving License (DL)

A Virtual Driving Licence (DL) is a digital version of your physical driving licence that you can access and keep on your smartphone. View your digital licence through the mParivahan app.

• Open the app and Login into your NextGen mParivahan account.
• Click on My Virtual DL to view your digital driving licence.

• Add your information like Driving Licence Number, Date of Birth (or required details).
• Check information like:
  • License holder’s name
  • License type (e.g., LMV, MCWG, HMV)
  • Issue and expiry dates
  • Issuing RTO
  • Status (active/suspended)

• Click on Add My Driving licence.
• Your Virtual Driving Licence is added to the app.

Additional Features:

• Open DL anytime
• Show during document checking
• Use it as digital proof

Virtual Registration Certificate (RC)

To access your Virtual RC (Registration Certificate) through the mParivahan app, which connects to the government’s transport database. Follow these steps:

• Download and install the mParivahan app login with mobile number, verify OTP or MPIN.

• Click on My Virtual RC.
• Add vehicle registration number, Chassis Number, Engine Number.

• Click Add My Vehicle to see information like:
  • Vehicle owner’s name
  • Vehicle registration number
  • Vehicle model and manufacturer
  • Fuel type (Petrol, Diesel, CNG, EV, etc.)
  • Registration date
  • Registration validity date
  • Vehicle class (Car, Bike, Transport, etc.), Engine number (partially masked sometimes, Chassis number (partially masked), RTO / Registering authority detail Insurance details (if available), Pollution (PUC) status (if available, RC status (Active / Expired, if shown)
• Click on download Virtual RC.

E-Challan Management

You can check your traffic challan (fine) online through the official government portal.

• Open the app and Login to your account.
• Click on Transport Services.
• In Challan Services section click on Challan Status.

• Enter details like:
  • Vehicle Number OR
  • Driving Licence Number OR
  • Challan Number

• Click on Search / Get Details.
• Check your Challan details:
  • Violation type
  • Date and time
  • Location
  • Fine amount
  • Payment status
• Click on Pay Now the challan with UPI, debit/credit card net banking.

mParivahan App Services

Challan Services	The mParivahan app allows users to check and pay pending traffic challans online. You can view the latest challan status, make payments, verify payment details, download challans, access payment receipts, and check important information such as the challan number, issue date, and reason for the penalty.
Vehicle Services	Allows users to access vehicle registration details (RC), ownership information, insurance validity, and fitness status. Services include Issue of Duplicate RC, Change of Address in RC, Hypothecation Addition (HPA), Hypothecation Termination (HPT), Hypothecation Continuation (HPC), Issue of NOC, RC Particulars against Fee, Dispose Application, Application Status, Update Mobile Number, View Fee Receipt, Verify Payment Status, Download Forms, and Download Slip.
Driving Licence Download Services	Enables users to check driving licence status, verify authenticity, and download a digital DL. Services include Issue of Duplicate DL, Renewal of DL, Replacement of DL, Change of Address in DL, Application Status, DL Extract, International Driving Permit, and Update Mobile Number.
